The Big Pig Gig barbeque competition will be held on Saturday September 18, 2010.
Professional Contest Categories & Prizes

$5,000 in Prize Money to be awarded
Prize Money and Trophies will be awarded for 1st through 5th Place in Each Category.
1st Place: $400 & Trophy
2nd Place: $300 & Trophy
3rd Place: $200 & Trophy
4th Place: $100 & Trophy
5th Place: $50 & Trophy
Grand Champion*: $500 & Trophy
Reserve Champion: $300 & Trophy
(To be eligible for Grand Champion you must compete in all four meat categories.)
*The Grand Champion will be invited to the American Royal Invitational and will be entered in the pool for the Jack Daniels World Championship Invitational Barbeque.
Judging:
Judging will be by the blind method. Each Team will be given coded containers Saturday Morning. It will be the responsibility of each Team to see that their entries are delivered to the judging area at the appointed time. The final Schedule of Judging Times for each category will be provided at the MANDATORY Cooks’ Meeting held at the Judges Tent on Friday the 17th 6PM sharp.
The Big Pig Gig will follow KCBS Judging Procedures.
